  What pubs were like once upon a time....social, comfortable, reasonable food, nice verandah and the Les Clarke Band!!

  My mind is literally blown by the food here. Had the chicken schnitzel Mexicana topped with nacho beef, cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, chips and salad. This was delicious. When I return to the area for paintball, I'll definitely come back.

  Ok good enough menu. Chicken wings were good but probably lacked spiciness. My burger just wasnt good. Meat had no seasoning and it was just sloppy. A good quality bun would help it needs to be in ratio with the meat. My partners schnitzel was just ok. Last time i went the wings were amazing but this time a sticky mess.

  I cannot comment on food or the bar (which all looked fine) BUT the accommodation at this hotel was awful. The downstairs bistro and bar appeared modern and clean BUT the accommodation wing was extremely old, the rooms were filthy and disgusting, and there were bed bugs (or fleas). From the stained and smelly carpets to the crumbling walls and decor there was not one saving grace. My dealings with the hotel management were poor and revealed a totally unprofessional (and inconsiderate) attitude toward an interstate family who had driven far and booked in advance for a "family room". Booked for two nights, did not stay for the second. This is one of the worst places I have stayed in, and the "very" worst place stayed in as a family.
